Finally! This bloke is updating!

11/03

Category: General Posted by: Lord Matt

Okay so there have been no updates for a while. That is because I have been extremely passive in my working of the attempt. Mainly I have been adding found coins to the pot and doing nicely with it. My contains £4.32 in tiny small change and in assets I have a book ready to sell and some dress jewelry worth up to £4 - £5 (for which I paid 70p), some junk card and a box of paints (£1.50).

However I am not willing to run them through my pay-pal account (it's a very busy place with lots going out and I would not see the money) so I am left with the option of holding on to it all. Still I have almost achieved my aim.

I have been re-reading my blog (that's what it is here for) and am remembering what had planned. It's got me good and fired up for getting on with the challenge. So you never know I might have something interesting to report.

Meanwhile on more regular news you can catch up ith what I have been doing at Thanet Star and also at the reactivated Lord Matt and Girth Watch sites. I will also be launching other blogs soon so I will keep you posted on all that as well as my challenge to convert 1p into a fortune via the "rules" linked to at the top of the page.

Shiny to crafty

08/08

Category: General Posted by: Lord Matt

I can see several nice shiny coins hanging about in my penny pot which tells me it is time to count them in. I will be doing that later but for now I am going to be doing some crafts. Later I will be talking about how you can use craft skills to expand your collection of coinage on the road to a million.

My wife was going into town so I gave her £1.20 to get a box of twelve acrylic paints. I used to be quite handy with them and once upon a time made stuff to give to my friends out of clay and other materials which I then painted. My plan is to recycle watse and junk into cool items people will want to buy.

Not for a lot you understand. Cost plus a small ammount will do for me. After all my target profit level is only £5.00 which is not a fortune.

Pennies and pounds

I have recently written on the topic of matrix and pyramid scheems at The Fantastic Site of Lord Matt, my home blog. They are never worth the investment because they do not create new wealth but simply create a vortex that sucks value out of the community and into the pockets of a few.

The subject is up for debate so visit the article and leave a comment if you wish.

I prommise that an update will arrive soon.

Interesting! I wonder if...

I have not run off. I have scavenged a few more pennies and I have my eyes on a £50 boost.

But while the possibilities get on with figuring out reality I have been looking at affiliate sales.

Wrote a book and have another one being proof read as we speak. Now when I say book I mean ebook. In printed terms it is a large pamphlet at 36 pages.

My big hoo-ray, so to speak, was that a professional proof reader has taken the second of these books to proof read. The price - free. Now that is good.

Admittedly the proof reader is a good friend so that probably helped but I had been willing to spend money.

Can't be all bad.

Learning

04/07

Category: General Posted by: Lord Matt

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
Douglas Adams, "Last Chance to See"
English humorist & science fiction novelist (1952 - 2001)

In defiance of my own inheritance as a human being I am going to try and learn from other doublers and report back my musings and then, and this is the truly strange bit, put it to work.

I wonder what will happen.

My book has been banned!

As many of my readers are aware I plan to sell a copy of James and the Giant Peach because it is such a good book.

However some do not agree.

James and the Giant Peach. Roald Dahl. ABC-Clio; Knopf. Challenged at the Deep Creek Elementary School in Charlotte Harbor, Fla. (1991) because it is "not appropriate reading material for young children." Challenged at the Pederson Elementary School in Altoona, Wis. (1991) and at the Morton Elementary School library in Brooksville, Fla. (1992) because the book contains the word "ass" and "promotes" the use of drugs (tobacco, snuff) and whiskey. Removed from classrooms in Stafford County, Va. Schools (1995) and placed in restricted access in the library because the story contains crude language and encourages children to disobey their parents and other adults.

Mo Money!

02/07

Category: General Posted by: Lord Matt

If you recall I recently sadi that I had been spring cleaning ith the wife and claiming any coins I found.

Well I found a total of 18p which while not a fortune and a lot less than basic minimum for my cleaning efforts it was a boost nd puts me at about £2.19p which further reduces the need to make much from the sale of the book.

I think I will feel better once I have done that.

Short note

29/06

Category: General Posted by: Lord Matt

I'm just taking a breather from a spot of spring cleaning.

So far I have found several coins and with a little luck one more step will be complete.

I also found the required stuff to connect My PC and Camera directly so now I can upload the pics for ebay.

Furthermore I can get the photo's of the fire in the tower block opposite me. It's too late to sell them to a newspaper but at least I have them.

I don't know how much I have picked up while cleaning but time will tell

Technology - sometimes it just does not like you...

Sigh.

Having gotten as far as taking the picture of the book I am to be selling I am once more stuck as the Photocopier cum printer cum card reader can not cope with a 2GB SD card... buggerit.

This means hooking the camera to the PC which means I must find the cable.

I have no idea where to look.

What I did next

15/06

Category: General Posted by: Lord Matt

I have not gone away.

But I have not been especially active here of late. The prime reason is that life get's in the way sometimes but also I am working on business things that should earn me some nice jucy cash. Sadly they are not suitable for counting towards this goal. But the by product might be usefull towards that end.

I have also been talkingwith other bloggers about starting a doublers club.

Which reminds me I have some emails to send.

TTFN.
